A breeze of renewal

A timeless showcase of beauty, Domaine Les Crayères celebrates its past while looking to an elegant future.

While the Rooms and Suites are renovated regularly, it is on its iconic terrace that the renewal of Domaine Les Crayères begins. Completed in the spring of 2024, its embellishment endows it with new splendour. Clad in slabs of Burgundy stone, it offers a sumptuous setting in which to contemplate new classic French gardens. By 2027, the historic château will benefit from perfect symmetry thanks to the construction of a winter garden, mirroring the one that already exists in the right wing. Next to the Bar La Rotonde, an annex will harmoniously complete the layout. As for the park, it will reveal in its turn its thousand-and-one treasures. Its lake will be replenished with water and its banks will host a spa and two buildings in pure Mansart style: L'Orangerie and La Folie. Inspired by 19th-century architecture, these new suites of at least 80 square metres will blend perfectly with the Domaine's "château" spirit, inviting guests to savour the very essence of the French art of living.

Magnificence restored

A remarkable example of the 19th-century art of landscaping, the park is regaining its former splendour with each passing year. Until now, while only the first part surrounding the central medallion had been restored, work is currently underway to restore its original structure. "A meticulous, in-depth study of the Domain's history has shed light on the real richness of the site's heritage. It is thus a priceless opportunity for Domaine Les Crayères to showcase this French legacy of such immense importance. Designed in harmony with Édouard André’s layout, the paths will invite guests on leisurely walks. Finally, the various ambiances will unfurl perfectly coherently, the result of a subtle dialogue between borders, clearings and rockeries. Once reorganized, these areas will provide atmospheres conducive to the privacy sought by guests, guaranteeing a unique experience," explains Thomas Secondé, the landscaper entrusted with this ambitious project, to whom we already owe the approaches to the Brasserie Le Jardin.
