In the intimacy of words

As well as hosting the annual Goncourt and Renaudot Prize awards, Drouant has stood at the heart of France’s literary scene for over a century. Deeply rooted within the restaurant’s walls, this heritage is now extended thanks to the Drouant Circle, created to open the world of literature more widely to Parisians, and its regular clients. Each month, in its quiet salons, a leading figure in contemporary literature, such as Adélaïde de Clermont-Tonnerre, David Foenkinos, or winners of the Goncourt Prize, comes to spend time with guests. These encounters, whether discreet or vibrant, revive Drouant’s literary spirit and create a real-life bond between authors and readers. These privileged moments of sharing continue over cocktails, before ending with a book-signing session.
